Smart Water Management in Kenya: Liquid Partners with DropByDrop
Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a business of Cassava Technologies, has partnered with DropByDrop Water Systems to roll out smart water management solutions in Kenya. The collaboration targets the country’s growing water crisis, especially the issue of Non-Revenue Water (NRW), which stands at an alarming 47%.
Through this partnership, Liquid will provide its robust Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure to power DropByDrop’s cloud-based water management platform. This system will support Kenyan utilities and water service providers in detecting leaks, improving metering accuracy, and enabling real-time monitoring.
The smart platform offers key features such as SCADA integration, remote valve control, geo-asset management, and data analytics dashboards. These tools will help utilities reduce water loss, lower operational costs, and make informed decisions based on real-time data.
Beyond efficiency, the partnership is aligned with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. The platform will support sustainability reporting, water conservation efforts, and long-term infrastructure planning.
This initiative complements ongoing digital transformation in Kenya’s water sector. It also supports the country’s broader goals under Vision 2030 and the SDG 6 target for clean water and sanitation for all.
